Kinsa is recruiting for a: Controller / Specialty Food Imports, Retail, & Production
Location: Greater Miami, FL area (Onsite)
The mission for the Controller / Food Imports, Production, & Retail is to oversee all accounting and financial operations across a multi-entity business that includes production, retail, and distribution. This leader will strengthen financial integrity, implement scalable financial systems, and ensure accurate, timely consolidated reporting. The Controller will manage cost accounting, tax compliance, internal controls, treasury functions, and financial governance supporting operational growth.
- Successful candidates MUST HAVE a CPA OR CMA and experience with multi-entity businesses.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $150,000 – $200,000 compensation range
- Bonus potential based on performance

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities, ensuring accurate consolidated financial reporting.
- Maintain general ledger integrity, intercompany activity, GAAP compliance, and strong financial controls.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to support operations and strategic growth.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, treasury operations, and working capital optimization.
- Oversee cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory accounting for production, imports, and retail operations.
- Ensure federal, state, and local tax compliance, including multi-state filings and sales/use tax.
- Manage business insurance programs, audits, renewals, and financial risk documentation.
- Lead optimization and integration of accounting and ERP systems, including SAGE and related platforms.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- Accounting leadership experience in a food production or processing environment with CPA or CMA required.
- Expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard accounting for multiple entities.
- Strong GAAP, tax, and audit knowledge.
- Ability to lead multi-entity consolidation and financial operations.
- Advanced Excel skills; SAGE and ERP optimization experience.
- Knowledge of imports, landed cost, and multi-location financial workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
