Fractional Sales Operations Manager (Contract)

- As we continue expanding across Texas, we are strengthening our sales infrastructure and improving the execution, accountability, and consistency of our Business Development team. We are seeking a highly skilled fractional leader to help us build a high-performing, metrics-driven sales system.
Role Description
This is a contract, fractional role for a Sales Operations Manager. The role can be performed remotely, with preference for candidates in Texas (Austin/San Antonio) due to regional familiarity.
The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for establishing structure, reporting, accountability, and process discipline for our Business Development (outside sales) team. This includes building dashboards, optimizing our HubSpot CRM, enforcing weekly and daily sales activity expectations, improving forecasting, and coaching reps on execution.
The role is highly hands-on and requires someone who can diagnose problems quickly, build systems that reps can follow, and drive consistent sales performance in a fast-moving, field-services environment.
Responsibilities
- Audit current sales processes, pipeline stages, activity levels, and HubSpot usage
- Build and enforce daily, weekly, and monthly sales accountability structures
- Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards
- Implement outbound cadences, follow-up sequences, and required activity blocks
- Conduct weekly sales meetings and pipeline review sessions
- Provide coaching and corrective guidance to outside sales reps
- Improve forecasting accuracy and deal-stage conversions
- Ensure full CRM adoption and data accuracy across the sales team
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase rental volume
- Support leadership with insights, reporting, and recommended actions
- Build repeatable sales processes that scale as the company grows
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, RevOps, Sales Management, or Sales Enablement
- Strong expertise in HubSpot CRM (required)
- Demonstrated ability to build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and KPI-driven accountability systems
- Ability to design and enforce structured sales processes
- Experience coaching and managing outside sales or field-based teams
- Familiarity with industrial, construction, logistics, rentals, or field-services industries (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to hold teams accountable professionally
- Highly organized, analytical, and execution-oriented
- Ability to work independently, move quickly, and deliver results within tight deadlines
Contract Details
- 10–20 hours per week
- 30–60 day initial engagement with potential extension
- Hourly rate: $85–$110 depending on experience
- Deliverables-based contract focused on measurable performance improvements
