Are you a senior executive who excels at leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational success? We’re supporting a longstanding, family-owned company seeking a Chief Financial Officer. This role sits directly under the President and offers the chance to shape strategy, oversee key functions, and work in a close-knit, values-driven environment.
The CFO will lead Accounting, HR, and IT, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and leadership development for the managers in each area. Experience guiding diverse teams, improving processes, and fostering a collaborative culture is essential.
Ideal candidates bring a proven leadership track record, strong financial expertise, and the ability to align department goals with broader company objectives. A CPA or MBA and formal leadership training are preferred.
CFO Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience
- Experience overseeing finance required
- Experience overseeing HR and IT teams preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Commitment to integrity and continuous improvement
CFO Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and daily leadership for Accounting, HR, and IT
- Develop and mentor department managers
- Set KPIs and performance goals
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls
- Oversee audits, planning, tax, credit, collections, and banking relationships
- Support HR initiatives including hiring, engagement, and development
- Guide IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system improvements
- Partner with executive leadership on strategy, process improvements, and growth
- Lead change initiatives that improve efficiency and support long-term success
