Job Summary
The Director of Sales Operations will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the efficiency of our divisional sales operations. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support the sales team and achieve financial targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales operations, leadership experience, and a keen ability to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement sales operations strategies to support overall business goals and objectives
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales operations with corporate strategy and growth targets
Process Optimization
- Along with the VP of Sales Operations, analyze and improve sales processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sales operations
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales data and performance metrics
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data to drive decision-making and improve sales performance
Sales Technology and Tools
- Along with the Sales and Business Strategy team, manage and optimize sales technology, including internal operating systems, sales reporting tools, and analytics platforms
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor the Area Sales Leaders, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
- Conduct weekly meetings with sales management to address key information; prepare content to discuss monthly and yearly progress, goals and developments
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between sales operations and business operations
Forecasting and Planning
- Oversee the financial budget forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
- Manage company sales budgets and resource allocation to support sales goals
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in sales operations
- Monitor and manage risks associated with sales operations and implement mitigation strategies
Customer and Market Insights
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape
- Provide insights and recommendations to adapt sales strategies and operations in response to market changes
GENERAL
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License at all times, with insurance coverage acceptable to the Company’s provider, in its sole discretion. Must abide by all traffic and motor vehicle laws and regulations
- Must be highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VIP, I-Dig, Microsoft Teams and related reporting software utilized by the Company
- Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written; ability to speak at both Executive and Corporate meetings; must be able to read and speak English
- The Director of Sales Operations is a key part of the site management team and is considered part of the local leadership team. The Director of Sales Operations plays a key role in working with the site leaders and corporate VPs of Sales to foster open communication and project/goal alignment
Qualifications And Requirements
- High School diploma/GED required
- Minimum five years of relevant sales experience with a record of meeting and exceeding goals
- Minimum two years in a successful sales management and/or leadership position
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office/Office 365
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible hours through the week, including some weekends and holidays
- This position operates in a professional office environment, but requires regular travel and on-site work in a customer retail environment
- Regular, consistent attendance is required
- The dress code is business casual; closed-toe shoes are suggested. Other restrictions may apply
