The Role
We are hiring a new role of Director of Business Operations to lead a team supporting the operations of ReUp’s Business to Business (B2B) division.
As the Director of Business Operations, you will lead a dynamic team focused on driving strategic alignment, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration across B2B departments and with external B2B audiences. This role is central to optimizing processes, enabling sustainable growth, and ensuring that all operational activities support institutional and state government sales and renewals. You will build the systems, tools, and strategies that position the organization for long-term scalability and success.
Internally, you will oversee the development and execution of sales operations, conference engagement, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional project management. Externally, you will coordinate key partnerships, thought leadership, and media efforts that advance ReUp’s position in the market.
A successful Director of Business Operations is process-oriented and has a keen eye for details and building team scalability. They are curious, conscientious, and collaborative, and an eager problem solver. Your team will serve as the primary partners in supporting the sales teams as ReUp continues a period of rapid growth.
The ideal candidate combines deep operational experience with a strong understanding of sales cycles and client relations. You should have a proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams while building scalable processes and managing teams through change. Experience in education technology or higher education settings is preferred, but overall experience in operational excellence is key.
What We Do
Founded in 2015, ReUp Education is the only organization that focuses exclusively on helping colleges and universities engage and re-enroll the more than 40 million US residents who have “stopped out” and support them until graduation, through our patented technology-enabled service. To date, we have re-enrolled over 57,000 students for our university partners. As of July 2025, ReUp Education partners with 140 active schools and a total of 1.78 million learners. To date, ReUp Education has helped 7,960 learners graduate. Today we build regional marketplaces to connect the supply of educational opportunities with the demand for skilled and credentialed workforce professionals.
What You’ll Do
As the Director of Business Operations, you are responsible for aligning multiple functions into a cohesive and coordinated approach to how ReUp engages with key audiences to support growth throughout the client lifecycle. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Internal Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of sales operations to streamline processes, improve productivity, and ensure the B2U and B2G sales teams are equipped to achieve revenue goals. This includes assisting with pipeline management, performance tracking, and operational reporting.
- Coordinate the creation of high-quality sales and marketing materials, ensuring that all assets align with brand standards and effectively communicate value propositions to clients and prospects. Partner with marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across all B2B channels.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain best-in-class sales enablement tools and technologies that empower the sales teams to perform efficiently.
- Lead the planning and operational execution of ReUp’s participation in national and state events and conferences. Collaborate across teams to define objectives, manage budgets, and oversee logistics.
- Oversee key strategic initiatives that advance divisional priorities, from business process improvements to new tools and resources. Develop frameworks for planning, execution, and measurement to ensure timely and successful delivery of critical projects
- Serve as the central point of coordination across departments, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and resource allocation. Facilitate communication and collaboration to drive efficiency and accountability across teams.
- Manage and optimize CRM platforms and related business systems to ensure data accuracy, usability, and insights. Partner with IT and analytics teams to improve tools and reporting capabilities that drive decision-making and prioritization.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while developing team members’ professional growth and leadership potential.
External Responsibilities
- Oversee external PR and media agency relationships to drive key sales and renewal goals with a focus on states
- Serve as the internal coordinator for key business partnerships that expand the company’s reach and drive business development. Work with relationship owners internally to set and execute on goals.
- Oversee the planning and execution of thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, speaking engagements, and industry collaborations. Partner with internal subject matter experts to position the organization as an industry leader and trusted authority.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of business intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or above
- 7+ years of professional experience in operations and project management, with at least 2–3 years managing growing teams.
- Strong project management skills and comfort operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency in tools (e.g., Asana; Jira; Salesforce) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack; Confluence).
- Data-driven decision maker with a strong analytical mindset and experience setting up and managing data sets.
- Proven ability to scale and build processes, lead change management initiatives and implement cross-functional improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scaling operations in a high-growth SaaS, EdTech, or B2B company
- Knowledge of the higher education and/or ed tech sectors
- A passion for advancing ReUp’s mission and vision
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Annual base salary of $130,000 - $145,000 commensurate with experience and is eligible for up to a 10% annual bonus based on individual and company performance

Location
If located in the Austin, TX, metro area this will be a hybrid position with an expected 2-3 days in the Austin, TX office weekly. Preference will be given to candidates local to Austin, TX and comfortable working in a hybrid arrangement.
This position can be based remotely in one of the states listed : AL, AZ, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, and WI.
If this position is based remotely, candidates should anticipate travel up to 4 times annually.
