Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer serves as a strategic partner and key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping the company’s financial vision and enabling sustainable growth for a $230MM organization. This role oversees all core financial functions—including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, treasury, audit, and tax—across a diverse portfolio spanning omnichannel, CPG, ecommerce, and regulated GMP Food & Nutrition manufacturing. The CFO drives long-range financial planning, capital strategy, and business modeling to support expansion and profitability goals. As both a strategic architect and operational steward, the CFO ensures financial integrity, optimizes performance, and collaborates cross-functionally to align financial strategies with corporate objectives and regulatory compliance.
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with long-term corporate goals and GMP compliance requirements.
- Oversee and direct budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, insurance, and forecasting functions.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Directors, and Executive leadership on financial positioning, risk management, and growth opportunities.
- Champion the selection and implementation of financial technology/ERP systems to improve efficiency and data integrity.
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Direct the preparation of short- and long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with growth objectives and operational capabilities.
- Appraise the organization’s financial position, liquidity, and growth, issuing quarterly and annual reports to Directors and Executive leadership teams.
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory control, and profitability analysis for manufacturing operations under GMP standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Seve as the primary liaison for all banking and lender relationships.
Operational & Departmental Oversight
- Guide and mentor accounting and finance team leaders to ensure strong internal controls and reliable reporting systems.
- Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to evaluate operational efficiency, cost structures, and capital investments.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Distribution teams to assess profitability, pricing strategies, and ROI on promotional initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or related financial area of study.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including heavy P&L responsibility.
- 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably GMP-regulated food or nutrition industry.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional corporate teams (R&D, Supply Chain, IT, Legal, Marketing and Distribution).
- Previous experience leading or supporting ERP system implementations.
- Experience working with Executive leadership and external financial institutions.
- Demonstrated success in producing profitable returns through strategic financial planning and execution.
- Strong leadership experience demonstrated through mentoring existing talent, driving proactive team development, and assessing capabilities to cultivate future leaders.
