The Role:
The Head of Business Operations is an integral Senior Leadership position, responsible for building and managing the organisation’s operating framework. Reporting to the COO, this role develops and embeds the structures, processes, and disciplines that enable the business to operate with clarity, consistency, and focus.
As a newly created position within the Operations function, You will directly manage Business Operations team members and work closely with colleagues across Operations and the wider Senior Leadership team to drive operational excellence.
The role will establish core business practices, introduce the right level of operational discipline, and lead change across a complex, cross‑functional environment. It will also play a central part in guiding the organisation’s ongoing transition toward a SaaS‑focused operating model, in partnership with other operational and business leaders.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Design, implement, and run the end-to-end business operating cadence.
Take ownership of the Annual Arrowhead Plan to align it with strategic, tactical, and operational objectives, establishing appropriate milestones and success metrics for effective prioritisation.
Establish and embed standardised business practices across all areas of the business so there is documented and controlled practices and standards that are effectively adopted and assured in the business.
Design and implement a coherent performance monitoring framework, aligned to strategic and tactical goals.
Define and standardise key operational and execution metrics across functions.
Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, predictability, and scalability by developing new operational processes aligned to documented business practices and Implementation of emerging areas such as Tribal’s Partner Management framework.
Build the Business Operations capability from the ground up, including remit, tools, and ways of working.
Coach leaders and teams in applying structured operating disciplines.
The skills you’ll need:
Deep understanding of enterprise operating models and performance management.
Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn data into insight.
Experience in business operations, enterprise PMO, operational excellence.
Proven experience establishing enterprise business practices and performance management frameworks.
It would be great if you had:
Experience of senior operations leadership roles within B2B software or technology-led organisations.
