About ID-Compass
At ID-Compass, we have a mission: Supporting Students’ Unions to Flourish. We know that when Students’ Unions are at their best, they are transformational for student life. We help them optimise their commercial operations so they can reinvest in their charitable activities.
The Role
To meet our ambitious growth goals for 2026, we are seeking proactive operational support to help us scale. Moving beyond standard administration, this role offers a genuine opportunity to influence our processes and play a pivotal part in shaping a growing business from the ground up.
This is a varied role in a fast paced environment where you will provide the organisational structure to allow the founders to deliver client work effectively.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Business Development & Outreach: Managing HubSpot CRM and ensuring proactive communication with Students' Unions and B2B partners.
- Data & Insights: Leading the gathering of and continual upkeep of intel for our Students’ Union partners to build our industry-leading database
- Consultancy Support: Assisting with report preparation, including transcribing data and organising insights from consultancy projects and commercial reviews.
- Event & Training Coordination: Acting as the primary point of contact for training delegates to ensure a seamless experience; providing end-to-end support for ID-Compass events, from logistical planning of our own workshops to coordinating our presence at sector conferences.
- Marketing & Finance: Managing basic social media presence and light-touch financial admin
The person:
We are more interested in the person you are than the need to have experience in all areas of the position. This role is a perfect fit if:
- You are highly organised: You’re the kind of person who finds satisfaction in organising and building systems that make life easier.
- You are a fast learner: You don’t need to be an expert on day one, but you should be curious and eager to learn new knowledge, tools and platforms.
- You are a positive self starter: You enjoy the variety of a start-up environment. If you don’t know the answer to something, your first instinct is to go find out.
- You are a clear communicator: Whether you're emailing a Students’ Union CEO or chatting with a tech supplier, you represent us with professional warmth and clarity.
- You value purpose: You want your 10–2 to mean something. You’ll take pride in knowing your work helps Students' Unions deliver more for their students.
- You are creatively minded: You don’t just follow a checklist; you think about how we can do things better, faster, or more effectively.
