We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee financial operations for a portfolio of Skilled Nursing Facilities. This role is based in Evanston, IL, and candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
The CFO will serve as a key financial leader and strategic partner to executive and operational leadership, driving financial performance, compliance, and long-term growth. Experience within SNF/LTC is required, and working knowledge of PCC (PointClickCare) is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations for multiple SNF accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Analyze facility-level financial performance, census trends, reimbursement, and margin optimization
- Partner with Operations, Clinical, and Executive leadership to support strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state/federal regulations
- Manage cash flow, audits, cost reporting, AR/AP, and reimbursement optimization
- Oversee revenue cycle performance including billing, collections, and denials
- Develop and present financial reports and dashboards to ownership and leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with direct SNF or LTC experience required
- Experience overseeing multi-facility or multi-entity healthcare operations
- Strong understanding of SNF reimbursement, cost reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) or similar LTC systems
- Ability to work on-site in Evanston, IL; local candidates or those willing to relocate
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credential
- Experience working with ownership groups or PE-backed healthcare organizations
- Experience supporting growth, acquisitions, or operational improvements
