OverviewÂ
Sun Scientific is seeking a Director of Sales Operations to build, optimize, and scale the operational backbone of our sales organization. This role is ideal for someone with a software engineering, process control, or technical operations background who thrives on creating structure, improving systems, and driving measurable impact.Â
You will partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Leadership to design scalable processes, improve data integrity, and enable revenue growth through disciplined execution. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a self-starter who is motivated to make a difference in a Medical Device start-up company.Â
Core ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Design, implement, and continuously improve Sales Operations processes to support growth and efficiencyÂ
- Analyze existing workflows, systems, and data to identify opportunities for process optimization and automationÂ
- Develop and maintain sales process documentation, SOPs, and process mapsÂ
- Own and optimize core sales systems (CRM, forecasting tools, reporting, and integrations)Â
- Partner with Sales Leadership to improve forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, and performance metricsÂ
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Finance to ensure end-to-end alignmentÂ
- Define, plan, and support testing cycles for new processes, tools, or system enhancementsÂ
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to drive accountability and data-driven decision makingÂ
Core CompetenciesÂ
- Sales Operations expertise including CRM management, forecasting, pipeline analysis, territory planning, and reportingÂ
- Strong understanding of order-to-cash (OTC) processes and cross-functional dependenciesÂ
- Process improvement and operational excellence mindset, grounded in technical or engineering principlesÂ
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable system and process solutionsÂ
- Experience working with system implementations, configurations, and process redesignÂ
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect data to business outcomesÂ
QualificationsÂ
- Background in software engineering, process control, operations engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Operations, Process Improvement, or similar rolesÂ
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives from concept to executionÂ
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teamsÂ
- Experience in regulated, manufacturing, or technical environments is a plusÂ
