How You’ll Add Value…
We are seeking a Senior Sales Operations Analyst to work closely with the Regional Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, and other key stakeholders to assist in all support areas of sales. The successful applicant will optimize sales team efficiency by managing processes, Azenta Business System, and data to drive revenue growth, handling tasks from forecasting and reporting to process improvement and training staff on tools, ensuring sales strategy aligns with business goals and the team has the resources to succeed.
What You’ll Do…
The Senior Sales Operations Analyst will support our SMS sales leadership team in driving operational excellence and assist with day-to-day administration and operational tasks such as:
- Improve processes and platforms to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.
- Manage team workload and distribute tasks accordingly.
- Aide in yearly planning, business direction, and business development efforts.
- Support Sales Managers and Sales Leadership to achieve company and team goals.
- Train new and existing employees in new and best practices.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop sales measurement models and diagnostic tools to help identify sales performance indicators, key areas of opportunity and sales force training needs.
- Recommend strategic priorities, sale force performance metrics and sales effectiveness tracking methods to maintain and improve Azenta’s competitive advantage in the market.
- Strategize with sales leadership on implementing key performance indicators and communicate regularly on performance metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements throughout the SMS sales organization that enhances sales productivity and simplify the sales process.
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify, plan and deliver future enhancements with clear prioritization, effective resource planning, and strong project management.
- Review and analyze pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment to determine profitability and targets.
- Manage the end-to-end sales funnel process and deliver operational metrics and insights to the business.
- Study monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to identify sales patterns and areas for improvement and present them to key stakeholders and sales leadership.
- Compare actual sales data to revenue projections and expectations and assist with MBRs, QBRs, and AOP commercial plans.
- Work with the sales and marketing leadership team on strategies for the commercial organization.
What You Will Bring…
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Sales Operations role with sales force effectiveness required.
- Proven experience with Salesforce and Oracle Cloud.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data mining and reporting capabilities.
- Proven experience developing efficient and effective operational processes and technology solutions.
- Ability to understand strategic direction, goals, and support processes to facilitate achievement of business objectives.
- Result-oriented and success-driven mindset, conveying a sense of urgency and driving issues to closure.
- Ability to build relationships with leaders, employees, and customers.
- Solid oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to other stakeholders in different functions at various levels.
- Highly motivated, goal-orientated and outgoing. Self-starter – able to plan own schedule and priorities. Demonstrated initiative and self-development.
Working Conditions/Schedule
- This is an onsite role in Burlington, MA 4+ days per week

United States Base Compensation: $111,000.00 - $139,000.00
The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications), qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
