POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) directs and oversees the financial activities of the company, acts as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, and is responsible for assessing and evaluating the organization’s financial performance with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee and direct all aspects of accounting operations, including transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Clean up of current financials and reporting.
- Create build-out of FP&A function.
- Develop and maintain all necessary accounting policies and systems, ensuring records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Analyze and develop costing strategies and metrics.
- Manage finance, accounting department employees.
- Analyze financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior leadership.
- Participate in the implementation of BI systems and develop analytic reports, dashboards, and queries to support functional management.
- Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
- Assist senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Coordinate and/or prepare tax schedules, returns, and information.
- Assist in managing insurance providers and renewing insurance policies.
- Manage cash flow.
- Interact with Brixey & Meyer Capital to report on financials and updates as needed.
- Perform other finance and administrative duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with 2+ years of management experience.
- Experience working in a growing service company and PE backed environment strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
- Strong management and leadership capability.
