Job Summary
The Domestic Sales Operations Specialist supports the domestic sales organization with a strong focus on Big-Box and national retail accounts. This role ensures the accurate execution of sales operations, effective coordination across internal teams, and reliable reporting to support strategic retail customers. The position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction within the domestic retail channel.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Operations & Retail Execution
- Support domestic sales teams managing Big-Box and national retail accounts with order management, pricing setup, promotions, and sales documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of high-volume sales orders, forecasts, and customer data in ERP systems
- Support execution of retailer-specific requirements, including routing guides, compliance standards, and EDI processes
Big-Box Account Support
- Act as a primary operational support partner for Big-Box retailers, ensuring alignment with customer programs, promotions, timelines, and Collaborative Forecasting, Replenishment, and Planning (CFRP) initiatives
- Coordinate with sales, supply chain, and demand planning teams to support CFRP activities, new item setup, line reviews, resets, and promotional execution
- Support collaborative forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment discussions with retailers to improve forecast accuracy and in-stock performance
- Track retailer scorecards, chargebacks, compliance metrics, and deductions, partnering with internal teams to investigate and resolve issues
Sales Data, Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and maintain sales reports and dashboards related to Big-Box performance, including volume, revenue, margins, promotions, and forecasts
- Analyze sales trends and customer performance to identify risks and growth opportunities
- Support demand planning and forecast accuracy for high-volume retail accounts
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a liaison between domestic sales, finance, supply chain, logistics, customer service, and marketing teams
- Support issue resolution related to fulfillment, inventory availability, pricing discrepancies, deductions, and billing
- Assist with preparation for customer meetings, line reviews, and internal business reviews
Pricing, Promotions & Compliance
- Assist with pricing setup, promotional discounts, bill-backs, and margin analysis in accordance with company and retailer policies
- Support contract and program documentation, including promotional agreements and compliance tracking
- Ensure audit readiness and adherence to internal controls and Big-Box retailer requirements
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2–5 years of experience in sales operations and retail sales support
- Experience supporting Big-Box or national retail accounts strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large data sets and retail reporting
- High attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP and EDI
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight retail deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
