Job Description
LinkedIn is seeking a Senior GTM Applications Automation Engineer to support and enhance our Go-To-Market (GTM) ecosystem, primarily built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce (SFDC) and Custom Applications. This role is part of the GTM Systems Operations team and is critical to ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of GTM Operations platforms and their integrations with Upstream/Downstream enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven, technically strong engineer who takes end-to-end ownership of complex CRM capabilities, excels in operations support, and partners closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and vendors to deliver reliable, high-quality automations and efficiency enhancing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Support & Operations
- Identify, implement, and enhance automation opportunities throughout our suite of GTM systems and workstreams to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor application health, performance, and integrations; proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Act as a primary escalation point for complex production issues related to automation, performing root cause analysis and driving permanent fixes.
- Creation/configuration of event monitoring reports and dashboards.
- Implement and manage security roles, business units, and field-level security to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Enforce best practices around environment management, release governance, and access controls.
Architecture, Design & Development
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions across Dynamics 365 Sales, Service, and Marketing modules.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom plugins, workflows, and extensions using C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and supported CRM frameworks.
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs, including technical specifications, process flows, and test strategies.
- Ensure all customizations align with vendor-recommended frameworks and upgrade paths.
Integrations & Data Flow
- Design, support, and troubleshoot integrations between GTM Applications and external systems (ERP, Talent Systems, Finance, Marketing Automation, Data Platforms).
- Leverage REST/OData APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and middleware for reliable data exchange.
- Validate and support interface jobs, data reconciliations, and exception handling.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with Business Analysts, Engineering teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
- Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical guide during sprint planning and design discussions.
- Contribute to operational excellence through documentation, runbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE applications.
- 5+ years of experience with C# (.NET), JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud experience.
- Salesforce development exposure (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components).
- Experience with integrating and maintaining business applications to Salesforce, such as DocuSign, Apttus, CPQ, Conga, etc,
- Certified in CRM Applications (Dynamics 365/ / SFDC).
- Strong proficiency in C# (.NET), JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.
- Solid understanding of Dataverse (CDS) and relational data modeling.
- Proven experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Functions) and REST/OData web services.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, solution management, and CI/CD pipelines for CRM platforms.
- Experience designing and developing AI based solutions and agents using Gen-AI tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude etc)
- Experience supporting revenue, invoicing, or finance-related CRM processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and large-scale GTM systems.
