Summary
Seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, oversight, and performance for a growing construction firm. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive profitability, manage risk, and support scalable growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead companywide financial strategy, planning, and forecasting
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and controls
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and project-based financial cycles
- Oversee job costing, margin analysis, and financial performance tracking
- Manage relationships with banks, sureties, auditors, and external partners
- Lead tax strategy, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Identify and mitigate financial risk, including bonding and insurance exposure
- Partner with operations and project leadership to align financial and business goals
- Build, lead, and develop the finance and accounting team
- Improve financial systems, reporting, and internal processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred but not necessary)
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally in construction or project-based environments
- Strong understanding of job costing, cash flow management, and project financials
- Proven experience working with lenders, sureties, and external auditors
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
