FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Operations and Resourcing Analyst to work for our client within the consultancy sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Telford.
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Operations Analysts to support our global Systems Integrator client. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside senior leaders, strengthen governance, and drive operational excellence across multiple Practices within a complex, fast‑moving organisation.
As part of the Operations Team, you will partner closely with the Business Operations Partner to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure the smooth delivery of services, tools, and strategic initiatives. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong organisational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Support the alignment of operational activity with organisational strategy, ensuring consistency and high performance across Practice functions.
- Contribute to governance frameworks, reporting standards, and communication processes to maintain transparency and stakeholder alignment.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive initiatives to enhance workflows, tools, and operational services.
- Assist with financial planning tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and performance reporting.
- Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and support the development of mitigation and resolution plans.
- Support resource planning processes, including recruitment coordination and capacity management across Practices.
- Provide operational support for HR‑related activities such as onboarding, documentation, and internal Practice administration.
- Act as an operations liaison, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and activities remain aligned with business priorities.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in business operations, financial management, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous‑improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse data, produce meaningful insights, and support strategic decision‑making.
- Experience working within structured governance frameworks and producing high‑quality reporting.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
