Fahrenheit Advisors has been retained by SPC Mechanical, a mechanical construction companybased in Wendell, North Carolina, to recruit a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer(CFO) to lead the finance function.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative executive management team and to make a significant, personal contribution to the purposeful, strategic growth of a well-established company by leading the evolution of their existing CFO role to an increasingly value-adding strategic focus.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Core Financial Functions
- Overall leadership responsibility for the existing, high quality accounting function (and department) with all its relevant reporting, transactional, and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Board reporting and engagement
- Manage the capital strategy and serve as primary liaison to outside lenders, banking, and other institutions
- Design and manage the company’s employee incentive plans
- ESOP Management
- Risk Management
- Outside Investments
Strategic Focus
- Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with internal teams, partners, and clients to support collaboration, drive successful project delivery, and strengthen long-term business performance.
- Strategic Financial Planning for all aspects of the company
- Building relationships with
- Engage and support operating company leadership in their pursuit and execution of their work and their respective business units’ strategies
- Engage operating company leadership generally in the collection and analysis of project, industry, market, and bid-estimate data
- Further establish company and project financial performance parameters with ensuing oversight and analysis
- CEO & President support and counsel
- Assist in broadening business acumen among operations personnel.
- Be a ‘connector’ across the company
As opportunities arise, SPC Mechanical would like to engage in the purposeful acquisition of new business units and anticipates that the new CFO will play a crucial role in planning and executing those transactions.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance executive with a minimum of 10 years of experience. S/he will have prior experience serving as a corporate or division-level leader and have had oversight of a similarly sized organization.

- Exceptional competency in financial analysis and management/project accounting.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills which allows her/him to communicate sensibly to both the financially astute, as well as, those whose financial acumen may not be high but, who, given their role, are critical to the success of the mission.
- Demonstrated ability to think “out-of-the-box” in improving corporate performance by influencing colleagues and management to improve returns on specific projects and the business as a whole.

EDUCATION:
An undergraduate degree in finance or accounting is required; an advanced degree (MBA) and/or accounting certification (CPA, CMA, CA) is preferred.
