The head office is strategically located in Mirabel, home to the Executive Management of Corporate Affairs, the Product Development, Innovation, and Design Centre. This site is also a Canadian production centre for the North American market and a local service centre. In 2025, Eagle expanded its operations into Yorkton, Saskatchewan, enabling the company to cultivate markets that were complementary to its customer base. The company also has two dedicated production plants in China, letting it adapt its production costs and develop a hybrid manufacturing model for our North American market. JOB DESCRIPTION
In a context of strong growth and restructuring, the company is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a key role in the company’s strategic and operational activities. Reporting directly to senior management and serving as a member of the management and executive committees, the CFO is responsible for all financial and administrative functions within the organization. The role involves implementing business processes, financial systems and tools, managing financial performance, ensuring the health and management of business risks, and supporting strategic decisions by demonstrating the viability of these directions. Furthermore, he or she serves as a pivotal business partner to external business partners, financial institutions and funders, shareholders, and the management team. The CFO is responsible for ensuring financial rigor, regulatory compliance, legal affairs, and long-term value creation, providing concrete support to the company in its next phases of growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial and Strategic Leadership
• Provide strategic counsel to shareholders and the executive management committee, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of business and operational realities.
• Define, translate and implement the financial vision in line with strategic objectives, with responsibility for direct actions that support growth and value creation for the company.
• Develop, deploy and steer the group’s financial strategies, and ensuring direct involvement in their operational execution.
• Represent the company credibly to external stakeholders, primarily those in the financial sector.
• Provide support to management in decision-making processes regarding investment, capital allocation, growth, and performance optimization.
• Evaluate business and investment opportunities and analyze their financial and operational impacts and associated risks.
Performance Management
• Establish and develop relevant financial and operational performance indicators that are actively used by the various teams.
• Ensure clear, reliable and proactive performance reporting by entity, product and market.
• Oversee budgetary processes, quarterly financial forecasts and variance analyses.
• Stay informed about economic issues, market trends, opportunities, and risks to make informed decisions.
• Promote a culture of performance, rigor, accountability and continuous improvement.
Structure, Processes & Systems
• Structure, document, and optimize financial and other business processes that have a direct impact on results by being directly involved in their design, review, and implementation.
• Establish and maintain a robust and scalable internal control framework.
• Define, update, and ensure the application of financial policies.
• Deploy process performance monitoring tools.
• Actively participate in the ERP transformation project, from requirements definition to implementation.
• Ensure the effective integration of financial systems with operations and other key functions.
Operational Finance
• Provide comprehensive support for the development of manufacturing activities, encompassing cost analysis, margin assessment, and return on investment calculations.
• Provide support for operational decisions through the implementation of meticulous, action- oriented financial analysis.
• Maximize efficiency in cash flow and intercompany transactions within a multi-entity and multi- currency framework.
• Develop and oversee financing strategies, encompassing banking relationships and government programs.
• Maintain close and ongoing relationships with financial and strategic partners.
Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
• Ensure that all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards are followed.
• Oversee the company’s tax, regulatory, and statutory obligations proactively.
• Supervise corporate taxation and legal matters with external specialists.
• Implement financial and operational risk management frameworks.
• Contribute to the work of the executive management committee and to the quality of financial information provided to shareholders and managers.
Team Management
• Oversee the operations of the finance team, ensuring its smooth functioning and effective integration within the organization.
• Provide direct guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Encourage and motivate team members to achieve their personal and professional goals, contributing to the organization’s success.
• Collaborate closely with the current controller to establish a high-performing, autonomous team.
• Structure the finance function in a way that is scalable and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration with operations, supply chain, and sales.
DESIRED PROFILE
Education, Experience & Technical Skills
• University degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. A CPA designation is required.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in financial management or an equivalent role, ideally within a growing SME or a company undergoing transformation.
• Proven experience in financial structuring, process implementation, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Excellent understanding of multi-entity, multi-currency, and international issues, including intercompany flows.
• Experience in financial/ERP system transitions.
• Fluent in both French and English, spoken and written.
