Job Title: Deal Desk Operations Specialist (CPQ Focus)
Location: India (Remote/Hybrid/On-site) Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST (Fixed US Shift)
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and service-minded Deal Desk Operations Specialist to join our growing Revenue Operations team. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to our Sales organization, ensuring that complex deals are structured, priced, and quoted accurately using our CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tools.
You will serve as the "first line of defense" for our US-based sales team, providing real-time support during their working hours. Success in this role requires a unique blend of technical CPQ knowledge, financial acumen, and exceptional customer service skills to guide Account Executives through the deal process smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Management & CPQ Support:
- Review and approve sales quotes within the CPQ system, ensuring compliance with pricing policies, discount thresholds, and approval hierarchies.
- Assist Account Executives (AEs) in structuring complex deals, including multi-year contracts, ramp deals, and non-standard terms.
- Troubleshoot technical errors or configuration issues within the CPQ platform to prevent deal friction.
Sales Partnership (Internal Customer Service):
- Provide "white-glove" service to the Sales team by responding quickly to quote requests and inquiries during US business hours.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Sales Reps, helping them understand why a deal structure might be rejected and offering creative, compliant alternatives.
- Translate complex booking policies into simple, understandable language for the sales field.
Order Compliance & Operations:
- Validate signed contracts against approved quotes to ensure data integrity before booking.
- Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to resolve non-standard legal terms or billing requirements.
- Maintain accurate data in the CRM (Salesforce) to support reliable forecasting and reporting.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Order Management.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with CPQ tools (e.g., Salesforce CPQ/SteelBrick, DealHub, Apttus, or Oracle CPQ) is mandatory. Proficiency in Salesforce CRM is highly preferred.
- Language Proficiency: Superior English communication skills (Written & Verbal) are essential. You must be able to articulate complex pricing logic clearly and professionally to native English speakers.
- Customer Service Mindset: You view the Sales team as your "customer." You approach problems with empathy and a solution-oriented attitude rather than just saying "no."
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors in pricing, currency conversion, and contract dates immediately.
The "Must-Haves" for this Shift
- Shift Availability: You must be willing and able to work a fixed shift of 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST Monday through Friday to align with US business hours.
- Reliability: High-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace (if remote) are required for attending video calls with US stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment.
- Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules (ASC 606).
- Experience using Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom for high-volume internal communication.
Why Join Us?
- Competitive salary with shift allowance.
- Health insurance and wellness benefits.
- Opportunity to work directly with international teams and grow your career in Revenue Operations.
- Cab/Shuttle facilities (if office-based).
