The CFO is responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy and operations, with a strong emphasis on real estate development and construction projects. This executive role oversees financial planning, capital structuring, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while ensuring that development initiatives are financially viable and aligned with the company’s overall growth objectives.
The position manages financial modeling and underwriting for development projects, structures debt and equity financing, and maintains relationships with lenders, investors, and financial institutions. The CFO also oversees construction financing processes, financial controls, risk management, and cash flow planning related to development pipelines and capital expenditures. In addition, the role evaluates investment opportunities, supports capital-raising efforts, and presents financial performance and projections to ownership and senior leadership.
The role requires extensive knowledge of real estate development finance, construction accounting, capital structuring, and investment analysis, along with strong leadership and strategic planning abilities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field (MBA preferred), CPA strongly preferred, and at least 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience with a focus on real estate development and construction.
