We are currently looking for Sales Operations Lead based at Mumbai with details mentioned below.
Let me tell you about the role!
The Sales operation lead (SOL) is responsible for governing, strengthening and monitoring the operating framework that powers Castrol’s commercial engine across all B2C regions. The role works closely with regional sales teams (MDOMs/RGMs) to support consistent implementation and ensure disciplined process and compliance adherence across regions.
This role supports the implementation of Sales Operations SOPs and compliance framework, ensuring that all customer operations, sales and distributor processes being followed by sales team without any deviations. Through structured sample checks, cross‑regional insights, and governance interventions, SOL ensures execution quality, consistency, and operational integrity across B2C business.
As the central facilitator between HO governance teams — Controls, E&C, Finance, Digital — and the regional execution layer, the SOL ensures bringing ground realities to HO. The role acts as a catalyst and enabler, resolving structural bottlenecks, driving simplification and automation in partnership with CE&O, and ensuring Castrol stays compliant and risk‑free.
SOL is responsible for driving key national compliance agendas such as Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDPA), Minimum Contract Requirements (MCR), and Customer Heartbeat governance etc.
What you will deliver
National governance & framework ownership: Review and create sales operations standard operating process and governance frameworks to ensure one consistent way of working across India. This will require to re-look and draft customer operations sales and distributor processes being followed by sales team without any deviations.
Audits & Assurance through Random check: Audit follow ups, conduct national sample check to strengthen controls ensuring corrective and preventive actions to strengthen internal controls, reinforce process rigor, and minimize operational risks.
Liaison CE&O, Control, E&C & Regions: Central facilitator between all HO governance and regional execution team and serve as a catalyst for business growth by unlocking stuck issues.
Driving simplification & digital enablement: Leads process simplification and drive automation based on regional feedback by engaging with sales team HO stakeholders. Ensuring the right approach with the accurate behaviors being displayed
Influence senior stakeholders: Influence VP, RGMs, CE&O, Control & E&C to resolve the structural issues and land governance decisions keeping business first mindset.
Driving organization compliance: Ensure adherence to critical compliance areas like – DPDPA, MCR etc.

7-8 years of experience across sales, marketing and operations
