Job Overview:
As a Sales Operations Data Specialist, this position is responsible for creating and maintaining reporting for the corporate sales team, as well as supporting Regional reporting needs, related to new business development monthly/quarterly reporting, sales systems reporting, forecast/budget planning, and sales compensation documents. This role would report to the Sales Data & Systems Manager with regular communication with the RVPs of Sales for management of Regional reporting and territory planning as needed. The Sales Operations Data Specialist will work closely with the Corporate Sales Team on continuous collaboration for company reporting standards, best practices, and data visualization for company use.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Sales Data & Systems Manager and various departments/teams to understand their unique requirements and ensure that reporting aligns with organizational goals.
- Gather feedback from users to continuously improve and optimize the reporting best practices.
- Analyze existing reporting and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Implement changes to optimize processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Work with Sales Data & Systems Manager on developing reporting to provide insights into key metrics and activities.
- Maintain monthly charge back reporting on CRM users.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales performance and metrics company reporting.
- Data entry for Regional goals and quotas.
- Administer Sales compensation quarterly bonus files.
- Work with Regional leadership and finance on forecasting, budgeting, and territory planning projects as needed.
- Audit data on a regular basis to ensure data accuracy.
- Create and maintain a reference guide for reports.
- Participate in ad hoc projects to optimize processes and/or improve the data and reporting quality.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e. Computer Science).
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel including PivotTables, DAX, and Data Tables.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM or other CRM experience a plus.
- Power BI or other visualization software knowledge a plus.
- Attention to detail and commitment to executing work efficiently.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented, with a capacity to multitask and manage multiple projects and assignments, often competing with deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Learner mindset, always willing to research, take a course, and discover ways to grow themselves.
