On behalf of one of our clients, an internationally recognized design and engineering firm, we are seeking a Business Operations & Human Resources Manager to join their team in Miami (Brickell Key).
The position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key role in overseeing operational infrastructure and human capital management, ensuring that internal processes, workforce strategies, and administrative functions support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- Master’s degree (MBA or HR-related) preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in business operations, HR leadership, or organizational management
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and operational processes
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and workforce management
- Experience with HRIS systems, payroll administration, and compensation structures
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and operational management skills
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational development capabilities
- Bilingual Spanish and/or Italian preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)
Key responsibilities
Business Operations
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and alignment with company objectives
- Develop and improve operational policies, procedures, and workflows
- Monitor operational performance using KPIs and implement process improvements
- Coordinate cross-department initiatives and support operational planning
- Manage vendor relationships, service agreements, and operational contracts
- Oversee office administration, facilities management, and operational logistics
- Support budgeting and cost-efficiency initiatives
Human Resources Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Act as the main liaison with Italy Headquarters for HR matters
- Support leadership in organizational development and workforce planning
- Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and leadership development
- Foster a high-performance and positive workplace culture
Talent Acquisition
- Lead recruitment strategies and manage the full hiring lifecycle
- Build relationships with external recruiters, universities, and professional networks
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Employee Relations & HR Operations
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations matters
- Support performance reviews, goal setting, and professional development planning
- Manage disciplinary processes and performance improvement plans
- Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and payroll processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and HR documentation
