Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive sustainable growth within the transportation and logistics industry. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee all financial activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and develop innovative strategies to optimize revenue management, cost control, and fiscal health. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to enhance profitability and growth.
- Lead corporate accounting functions, including financial reporting, compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 standards.
- Oversee risk analysis and management practices, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships to support operational needs.
- Drive revenue cycle management initiatives to optimize revenue streams and improve profit margins.
- Supervise budgeting processes, expense management, cost control measures, and financial forecasting to maintain fiscal discipline.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, interpret complex data for senior leadership, and communicate insights effectively to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies and ensure adherence to all applicable financial regulations.
- Manage team development by supervising all finance staff, fostering leadership skills, and promoting continuous improvement in financial practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles with extensive supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in corporate finance principles including profit & loss management, cost accounting, and business analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with advanced financial software solutions and modeling tools for financial analysis and forecasting.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a strategic mindset for business development opportunities.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and supply chain cost management practices is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA preferred.
