Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Strategy : Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organizational goals. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities while advising senior leadership on strategic financial decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor cash flows, forecast liquidity requirements, and optimize working capital management to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Lead the annual budgeting process and work closely with department heads to monitor financial performance against budget targets. Implement cost optimization initiatives to improve profitability.
- Financial Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks including foreign exchange exposure, interest rate fluctuations, and credit risks, particularly relevant to import-export operations.
- Tax Planning & Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Customs, and other regulatory requirements. Work closely with external tax advisors to optimize tax planning strategies.
- Internal Controls & Audit: Develop strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and implement recommended improvements.
- Treasury & Banking Relationships: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiate banking facilities, and oversee investment strategies to maximize returns and minimize financial risk.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
