Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business growth plans
- Act as a strategic partner to the Dealer Principal / CEO in decision-making
- Drive profitability and long-term financial sustainability
- Should understand the nuances of evaluating the valuation thru different methods.
- Should be able to raise funds through PE, VC or debt
2. P&L Management
- Own and manage the dealership’s Profit & Loss statement
- Monitor revenue streams: vehicle sales, service, spares, insurance, finance commissions
- Analyze margins and suggest improvements across departments
3. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management
- Optimize inventory funding (vehicles, spare parts)
- Manage receivables (especially institutional / fleet sales)
- Ensure efficient utilization of cash credit / bank limits
- Drive cash flow planning and liquidity management
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Track actual performance vs budget and implement corrective actions
- Provide MIS reports with actionable insights
5. Banking & Financial Institutions
- Manage relationships with banks and NBFCs for:
o Inventory funding (flooring limits)
o Working capital loans
o Customer financing tie-ups
- Negotiate interest rates and optimize borrowing costs
6. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC, etc.)
- Implement internal controls and audit systems
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities
7. Cost Control & Efficiency
- Monitor operating expenses and improve cost efficiency
- Implement cost control measures across departments
- Evaluate ROI on marketing spends and capex investments
8. Team Leadership
- Lead finance, accounts, and billing teams
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting
- Build strong internal processes and financial discipline
9. OEM & Dealer Management System (DMS)
- Ensure accurate financial reporting as per OEM requirements
- Work closely with Tata Motors for audits, incentives, and claims reconciliation
- Leverage DMS for financial insights and controls
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial planning & analysis (FP&A) skills
- Deep understanding of working capital management
- Knowledge of dealership business dynamics

Qualifications & Experience
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance (CA preferred)
- 12–20+ years of experience in finance
- Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role
- Experience in automobile dealership / auto industry/ oem industry is Mandatory

Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Dealer Principal / CEO
- Direct Reports: CFO team, Finance Head, Manager, Accounts Team, Billing Executives

- Strong grip on inventory financing (vehicle stock funding)
- Monitoring OEM incentive claims and receivables
- Ensuring financial discipline in high-volume, low-margin environment
- Supporting expansion decisions (new outlets, workshops, EV investments)
