What You’ll Do
As the Business Operations Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in driving both the financial success and strategic growth of the Parks & Recreation Department. You will:

Oversee department budgets, financial planning, and reporting to ensure accuracy, accountability, and long-term sustainability

Develop and implement pricing strategies, revenue generation plans, and internal controls to meet cost recovery goals

Identify, secure, and manage grants, sponsorships, and fundraising opportunities to support programs and initiative
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
-
Collaborate with internal teams and Finance to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
-
Lead and support staff through supervision, coaching, performance management, and professional development
-
Establish processes, policies, and standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery
-
Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

About You
You’re a strategic and people-focused leader who understands how strong financial management supports meaningful community impact. You bring experience in budgeting, revenue development, and team leadership, along with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and build strong relationships.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, recreation management, or a related field

Three years of progressive business or financial management experience

Two years of supervisory or leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue strategy development

Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or securing external funding source
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and community partners
-
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial or recreation management software.

Pay & Benefits

Salary range: $63,300–$84,832, depending on experience
-
12% employer retirement contribution -well above industry average
