Finatal is partnering with a global, privately owned international group to appoint a Chief Financial Officer / Head of Finance. This is a critical leadership role within a dynamic, multi-entity business operating across diverse sectors and geographies.
The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, driving financial strategy, governance, and performance across an evolving international platform.
The role will focus on leading the global finance function, enhancing reporting and controls, and supporting strategic decision-making at the highest level.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the global finance function across multiple jurisdictions and entities
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Ensure timely and accurate production of management accounts and board reporting
- Drive improvements in financial controls, governance, and reporting standards
- Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and capital allocation across the group
- Lead on tax structuring, compliance, and international regulatory requirements
- Support M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, and post-deal performance
- Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with business growth objectives
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and advisors
- Provide insight and analysis to support key strategic decisions
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
- Drive systems improvements and finance transformation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, and regulatory obligations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CFO, Head of Finance, or Finance Director within an international private equity or venture capital fund
- Strong technical accounting background (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience managing multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction finance operations
- Track record of operating in complex, fast-paced environments
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at Board level
- Experience of M&A, integration, and strategic finance initiatives
- Deep understanding of financial controls, governance, and risk management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
