📍 Role Details
- Contract Term: May 4, 2026 – May 3, 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Pay: $30.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
- Location: Hybrid – onsite Tuesday to Thursday (Waterloo, ON)
- Team Size: 5
🎯 What You’ll Be Doing
As an Operations Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing MCI systems by:
- Creating and maintaining end‑to‑end test plans for all MCI systems
- Executing UAT and production testing for processes, enhancements, and fixes
- Acting as the voice of the business in project and release meetings
- Preparing and distributing outage and release communications to stakeholders
- Partnering with Project Managers to create, update, and validate procedures
- Coordinating and delivering operational training for new or updated processes
- Triaging production issues and working closely with IT on resolution
- Analyzing system defects and documenting findings for troubleshooting
- Managing task logs and tickets to ensure timely resolution
- Gathering and documenting business requirements across varying scopes
- Supporting system customizations and performing regression testing
- Participating in complex implementations while adhering to security controls
- Conducting post‑implementation reviews to ensure fix completion and quality
At a senior level, you may also:
- Coordinate team‑wide testing efforts
- Identify system and documentation improvements
- Mentor junior analysts or coordinators
- Represent MCI in roadmap planning and enhancement discussions
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent business experience)
- 1+ year of Business Analysis experience
- 1+ year of overall business experience
Highly Desired Experience
- UAT and systems testing experience
- Strong business acumen
- Exposure to the mortgage and/or insurance industry
- Previous data processing or systems‑based role
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Experience with platforms such as AMS, BRMS, DPS, DMS
- Strong ability to write test plans aligned to requirements
- Understanding of systems analysis and process improvement methodologies
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Ability to quickly learn complex systems and workflows
