Inside Sales – Data/Sales Operations Analyst

Summary: The Inside Sales – Data/Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing and managing pricing, sales, inventory, and operational data to support strategic business decisions for BITZER North America. This role partners closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and Operations to develop pricing strategies, maintain reporting tools, and improve profitability. The position evaluates manufacturing costs, market trends, and customer segmentation to establish competitive pricing models and discount structures. The analyst also supports forecasting, budgeting, and inventory optimization efforts while ensuring data integrity across ERP systems. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Reports To: Senior Product Manager
Duties & Tasks
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and sales performance to support pricing decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and update pricing models using ERP data, SQL queries, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Evaluate manufacturing costs including labor, materials, and overhead to improve margins and identify cost-reduction
- Calculate and maintain customer pricing multipliers, discount structures, and segment-based pricing strategies.
- Support new product pricing by modeling projected costs and comparing against market benchmarks.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc sales, pricing, and margin reports for leadership review.
- Optimize warehouse inventory levels by analyzing supply and demand trends to reduce excess stock and improve fulfillment
- Maintain data accuracy across pricing systems, ERP platforms, and reporting databases.
- Participate in annual sales budget planning and provide analytical support for forecasting processes.

- Data Analysis: Strong ability to interpret large data sets and identify actionable trends.
- Pricing Strategy: Knowledge of pricing models, multipliers, discount structures, and margin analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, Power BI reporting, SQL querying, and ERP systems knowledge.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and manufacturing economics.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to recommend process improvements.
Work Environment
- Primarily office environment with regular computer and desk work.
- Frequent collaboration with cross-functional departments in office and manufacturing settings.
- Occasional exposure to warehouse or production floor environments requiring safety awareness.
- PPE may be required when entering production or warehouse areas.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged sitting, typing, and computer use.
- Frequent walking between office and operational departments.
- Occasional standing during meetings or plant walkthroughs.
- May occasionally lift or carry items up to 15 pounds.

Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- MBA, CPA, Six Sigma, or data analytics certification preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in pricing analysis, cost accounting, manufacturing analysis, or related role.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, HVACR, or supply chain environment preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), business intelligence tools, and reporting systems required
