Hirewell is pleased to announce their latest exclusively-retained search for a Real Estate Investor / Operator, to be held in Houston, TX. This organization is experiencing tremendous growth and, as a result, they are seeking a Chief Financial Officer that will bea key strategic leader. The CFO will lead all Finance, Treasury and Accounting concerns for the firm with specific responsibilities including: strategic planning, analyzing the competitive landscape, driving revenue growth, developing financial models that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy. Ideal candidates will have direct real estate experience and have designed and built a high-performance finance organization while also having a foundation in Public Accounting. Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, be an active CPA and have 10+ years executive, leadership experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field. Big 4 or Regional Accounting Firm experience highly preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting experience. Meaningful managerial/supervisory experience required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Ability to lead, develop, and mentor a best-in-class accounting team successfully.
- Strong communication skills with professional presence. Ability to present effectively to executive management and investors.
- Excellent business sense and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people. Strong problem-solving and mentoring skills necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities, while being able to effectively delegate and also be hands-on when necessary.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Given the exposure and visibility this person will have, the successful candidate should have excellent oral and written communications skills, with a combination of an analytical and conceptual mindset.
