About czed
czed is the AI-native operating system for educational institutions — schools, coaching centers, colleges, universities. We use AI to generate structured study notes, flashcards, and practice questions; SM-2 spaced repetition to ensure students retain what they study; and an audio-to-notes pipeline that turns any teacher's lecture into structured study material overnight.
The platform is live on Google Play Store. NEET Physics, Chemistry, and Biology packs shipped, with JEE, GATE, NEET-PG, GMAT, GRE, SAT, and IELTS in pipeline.
First institutional pilot confirmed at KIET Ghaziabad — a 10,000-student NAAC-accredited engineering college, AKTU-affiliated. HOD-sponsored 3-month free pilot with 50 students in the Mechanical Engineering department.
Second pilot in motion at Gyan Kunj Senior Secondary School — a 4,000-student CBSE school.
Built solo over 5 months. Currently raising a $200-400K pre-seed SAFE round on top of ₹18L bridge capital deployed.
About the role
You will own institutional GTM end-to-end as the founding GTM hire. czed has shipped product (notes → AI flashcards → SM-2 SRS → mocks → mastery), built institution rails (subject libraries, exam packs, full test series, per-student dashboards, billing), and confirmed the first pilot. What it doesn't have yet is a repeatable GTM motion. That is yours to define and run.
What you'll own
1. Sales motion
Outbound prospecting: schools, coaching chains, junior colleges, university departments
Inbound qualification: structuring discovery and demo flows
Pricing and packaging: testing tier elasticity for B2B2C contracts
Demoing, onboarding, and closing institutional accounts directly
2. Pipeline ownership
Building the institutional sales pipeline from zero
Conversion of KIET pilot to paid contract (August 2026 target)
Conversion of Gyan Kunj pilot to paid contract
Securing 10+ paid pilot institutions across two segments by month 12
3. Channel partnerships
Conversations with edtech aggregators (Classplus, Teachmint, regional coaching networks)
AKTU's 700+ college network expansion path
Strategic partnerships with smart-board OEMs (czed has Google EDLA compatibility)
4. Sales team building
Hiring and operating cadence for the first 2-3 sales reps post-Series A
CRM, weekly pipeline review, named conversion benchmarks
Sales playbook documented as a permanent operating asset
Required experience
3-5+ years in B2B SaaS sales — edtech preferred (Classplus, LEAD School, Next Education, Teachmint, Toddle, Aakash, BYJU's Tuition Centre, PhysicsWallah Vidyapeeth, Vedantu, or comparable)
Documented closing track record — you've personally closed institutional deals worth ₹50K+ ACV
Comfortable selling to non-technical buyers — institute owners, coaching directors, principals, HODs, training-chain operators
Hindi and English fluency mandatory — Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, or Bengali a strong plus
Founding-team mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, ready to own outcomes end-to-end.
What we offer
Equity: 1-3% with 4-year vest, 1-year cliff — meaningful upside as czed scales
Salary: ₹50K/month base + tiered commission on revenue closed:
10% on first ₹1 Cr ARR annually
5% on ₹1-5 Cr
2% beyond ₹5 Cr
Resets annually

Paid 2-week trial focused on:
Co-executing KIET pilot conversion
Securing Letters of Intent for czed pilot from 2+ additional institutions
Drafting the initial sales playbook
Decision based on trial outcomes and cultural fit
Standard NDA + IP assignment before trial; full employment + equity agreement post-trial
Why this role exists now
Indian edtech collapsed in 2024-2025 — ~$5-10B in capital evaporated. The vacuum will be filled by capital-efficient, AI-native builders. czed is structurally that — production app live, AI engine producing verified questions at ₹8-10/question (vs ₹200-500 industry standard), 84% gross margins, profitable at ₹2-3 Cr ARR.
