Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Ensuring compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and other relevant accounting regulations.
- Financial Reporting:
- Preparing financial statements such as Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, assess financial performance, and provide insights to management.
- Taxation:
- Preparing and filing income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Advising on tax planning and optimization strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with GST (Goods and Services Tax) and other applicable taxes.
- Auditing:
- Conducting internal audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Assisting with external audits conducted by Chartered Accountants.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitoring actual performance against budgets and identifying variances.
Other Important Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
- Payroll Processing:
- Calculating and processing employee salaries and wages, including deductions and taxes.
- Financial Software:
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Tally ERP 9, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Compliance:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws in India.
