Position Summary
We are looking for a Technical Sales Operations Engineer to support our sales activities in India by ensuring efficient execution of the sales process and acting as a key operational link between Sales, Technical teams, and our global support functions.
The role focuses on supporting technical sales activities, managing RFQs and proposals, coordinating internal stakeholders, and ensuring reliable execution from opportunity qualification through order closure.
Working closely with Application Engineering, this position contributes to smooth sales execution while enabling technical teams to focus on their core expertise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Sales Support (PreâSales Framing)
- Support customer requirement analysis and solution framing in coordination with Sales and Application Engineering
- Provide technical sales support up to solution framing level (in collaboration with Application Engineers and the Local Technical Leader)
- Participate in technical presentations and basic solution demonstrations when required
- Ensure alignment between customer needs, proposed solutions, and internal capabilities
2. RFQ & Proposal Management
- Analyse RFQs received via procurement platforms or direct sales channels
- Coordinate internal contributors (Sales, Application Engineering, Finance, HQ teams)
- Consolidate scope, pricing inputs, timelines, and proposal documentation
- Prepare and secure highâquality, compliant technoâcommercial proposals
- Support preâsales activities including AMC proposals and structured followâups
3. Sales Operations & Coordination
- Support opportunity tracking, pipeline updates, and forecast preparation in CRM tools
- Ensure proper documentation of sales activities (quotations, purchase orders, licenses, internal validation flows)
- Act as an operational coordination point between Sales, Application Engineers, Sales Administration, Finance, and Customers
- Support smooth handover from sales opportunity to order execution
4. Customer Interaction (Operational Scope)
- Act as a contact point for customers regarding technical or commercial clarifications during the sales process (nonânegotiation scope)
- Support onboarding coordination, license activation followâup, and operational handover to delivery/support teams
- Contribute to trusted and professional customer relationships
5. Process & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the standardization of RFQ, proposal, and sales execution processes
- Support CRM adoption, data accuracy, and reporting quality
- Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to sales operations and coordination
Your Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales support, sales operations, or preâsales roles in industrial or software environments
- Proven experience managing RFQs, proposals, and structured sales processes
Technical & Professional Skills
- Experience in metrology software/solution, CMMs, Laser scanners for manufacturing field
- Deliver technical presentations, basic demos, and solution explanations to customers
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable inspection, metrology, or manufacturing solutions
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in complex sales processes
- Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent)
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
