ROLE OVERVIEW:
The
Infrastructure Platform Engineering (IPE) team, part of Infrastructure and Cloud division, is responsible for the engineering and operation of LSEG’s Group Engineering’s core infrastructure services, including data centres, storage, private cloud, platforms, databases, and middleware. Our mission is to modernise and transform the experience of our customers by deploying automation and Platform-as-Product services, to enable increasingly efficient, scalable and secure infrastructure products that better support business operations and future transformation.
We are seeking a highly capable and forward-thinking
Senior Associate, Business Operations to enhance organisational effectiveness across the IPE function. Operating in a Chief of Staff–type capacity, this role will drive structured communication, engagement, governance, and operational excellence across a large and diverse global organisation.
Beyond traditional coordination and communication, this role will play a key part in
evolving team effectiveness through data, digital tools, and AI to improve ways of working, increase efficiency, and enable scalable, and sustainable outcomes.
The role requires a unique blend of
strategic thinking, operational discipline, creativity, technical curiosity, and a genuine passion for people and engagement.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Chief of Staff & Team Effectiveness Act in a Chief of Staff–type capacity to drive team effectiveness across governance, communications, engagement, and operational coordination. Support leadership prioritisation, alignment, and execution across the IPE organisation.
- Executive Communication & Engagement Own and deliver high-impact communications for the IPE organisation, including town halls, leadership updates, and engagement initiatives. Create compelling presentations and drive creative programs that strengthen team connection, culture, and clarity. Translate complex topics into clear, engaging, and actionable messaging
- Business Operations & Governance Oversee core operational processes including hiring tracking, reporting, and organisational data management. Ensure accuracy, visibility, and timely insights to support leadership decision-making.
- Reporting, Insights & Platforms Drive reporting and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights for IPE delivery and Transformation. Own SharePoint and communication platforms (Viva, Group Chat, etc.), ensuring structured, accessible, and well-governed information.
- Learning, Capability Uplift & Transformation Partner with the Transformation programme to identify learning needs, track capability development plans, and drive skill uplift initiatives across the IPE. Ensure progress is visible, structured, and aligned to business priorities
- Continuous Improvement, Learning & AI Enablement Identify opportunities to improve how the IPE operates by leveraging data, digital tools, and AI. Support capability development and embed scalable, efficient ways of working.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experiences in business operations, organisational effectiveness, or similar roles.
- Experience working in a technology or IT organisation Proven experience operating in a technology-driven environment (e.g. infrastructure, cloud, engineering, or platform teams), with an understanding of how technical organisations operate and deliver services is preferable.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills Ability to create clear, compelling, and visually engaging materials for senior stakeholders, translating complex topics into simple, impactful messages.
- Creativity and passion for people engagement A strong interest in building team culture and design engaging communication and employee initiatives that connect and energise a global workforce.
- Strong business operations and organisational skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, drive structured execution, and maintain strong governance across reporting, hiring coordination, and team activities.
- Chief of Staff–level support and stakeholder management Experience working with senior leaders, driving alignment, managing priorities, and ensuring follow-through across cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven mindset with reporting capability Comfortable working with data and dashboards (e.g. Excel, Power BI) to generate insights, track progress, and support decision-making.
- Digital and AI fluency Practical experience or strong interest in using tools (e.g. Microsoft 365, Copilot, automation tools) to improve communication, streamline processes, and scale operational efficiency.
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset Ability to identify inefficiencies, simplify processes, and implement better ways of working across teams.
- High ownership, energy, and attention to detail A proactive self-starter who can operate independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
- Essential Tooling knowledge Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience using planning and tracking tooling such as Asana or Jira is preferable. Familiarity with tools like Visio or Lucid chart.
