Job Title: Sales / Event Operations Coordinator
Pay range: $40 - 42/hr
Duration: 6 months
Location: Plano, TX
Hybrid
Must-haves:
- Salesforce administration at a working level - campaign creation, lead/contact management, report building, and basic troubleshooting. They don't need to be a certified admin, but they need to be well past "I've logged into Salesforce before."
- Spreadsheet fluency - list building, deduplication, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables. A lot of pre- and post-event work is wrangling data before it hits Salesforce.
- Project coordination - managing parallel timelines across multiple events with different stakeholders. This person will be juggling pre-event, live, and post-event workstreams simultaneously.
- Written communication - they'll be drafting recaps, flagging issues to leadership, and coordinating across Sales, Marketing, and MOPs. Needs to be concise and clear without constant oversight.
Nice-to-haves:
- Marketo or a comparable MAP
- Chili Piper or similar scheduling/routing tools
- Experience with lead lifecycle management and MQL/SQL handoff processes
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS sales motions
About the Role
We're looking for a contract Event Operations Coordinator to own the operational backbone of our field event program. This person will sit at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, and Marketing Operations to ensure every event - from invite list build to post-event lead follow-through - runs cleanly and nothing falls through the cracks. This is a hands-on execution role, not a strategy role. The right person is detail-obsessed, comfortable in Salesforce, and thrives on cross-functional coordination.
What You'll Do
Pre-Event:
Manage customer invite list builds by location, confirming audience targets are sufficient or partnering with marketing to collect the information needed. Collaborate with sales enablement on outreach sequences and messaging. Create Salesforce campaigns for pre-event invitations and ensure invites are routed to the correct reps.
During & Post-Event:
Set up scheduling links (Chili Piper) for Account Managers attending events. Build Salesforce campaigns for hand-raisers and attendees. Coordinate with Lead Operations and Marketing Operations to get post-event lists scrubbed and loaded into Salesforce or Marketo based on lead temperature. Confirm lead routing to the appropriate reps.
Performance & Reporting:
Ensure leads are entered into Salesforce accurately and promptly after each event. Monitor that post-event leads are being actively worked by sales, following up where there are gaps. Track performance against event goals and flag issues early. Keep marketing informed on which events are live and deliver post-event recaps against goals.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years in Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, or Event Operations - ideally in a B2B SaaS environment
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (campaign creation, lead routing, reporting)
- Familiarity with Marketo, Chili Piper, or similar tools is a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple events on parallel timelines
- Clear communicator who can work across Sales, Marketing, and Ops without handholding
- Comfortable with data hygiene and not afraid to chase down discrepancies.
