About the Opportunity
We are building an innovative marketplace platform within the residential property and renovation sector.
Our mission is to help homeowners unlock additional value from underperforming properties while reducing financial risk for renovation professionals through a unique partnership-based approach.
The platform vision, business model, legal framework, and technology foundation are already well advanced. We are now seeking an exceptional commercial co-founder to join the business and help build the go-to-market strategy, commercial partnerships, and revenue engine.
This is not a traditional executive position.
We are looking for someone who wants to help build a business from the ground up and become a genuine co-founder.
The Role
As Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, you will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy of the business.
Working directly alongside the Technical Founder and CEO, you will take ownership of all revenue-generating functions including sales, partnerships, marketplace growth, customer acquisition, business development, and commercial strategy.
You will play a central role in shaping the company's future direction, fundraising activities, hiring decisions, and long-term growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Strategy
- Develop and execute the company's revenue growth strategy.
- Define pricing structures and commercial models.
- Build revenue forecasts and growth plans.
- Identify and validate new revenue opportunities.
Marketplace Growth
- Recruit and onboard renovation partners.
- Develop strategic supplier relationships.
- Increase marketplace liquidity and transaction volume.
- Support regional and national expansion.
Sales & Business Development
- Build the sales function from the ground up.
- Establish strategic partnerships.
- Negotiate commercial agreements.
- Develop scalable acquisition channels.
Marketing & Customer Acquisition
- Define customer acquisition strategy.
- Build brand awareness.
- Drive lead generation and conversion.
- Create referral and partnership programmes.
Fundraising Support
- Participate in investor discussions.
- Support fundraising activities.
- Contribute to commercial forecasts and growth plans.
Leadership
- Help define company culture and values.
- Participate in executive decision-making.
- Build and lead future sales and marketing teams.
Ideal Candidate
You may currently be a CRO, Commercial Director, Sales Director, Business Development Director, Property Entrepreneur, Founder, or Senior Growth Leader looking for an opportunity to build something meaningful from the earliest stages.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience within residential property, real estate, property investment, estate agency, construction, home improvement, property development, or related sectors.
- Strong commercial and business development experience.
- Experience building partnerships and generating revenue.
- A network within the UK property ecosystem.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A founder mindset and long-term commitment to building a business.
Location Preference
While the role offers flexibility, preference will be given to candidates located in or around Bristol to enable regular in-person collaboration with the founder and key stakeholders.
Previous startup experience is advantageous but not essential.
