The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for directing the organization’s financial planning and accounting practices in addition to managing the relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing duties personally and through the finance and accounting team. The CFO is responsible for focusing on strategic financial planning, budgeting, and helping to drive business from an analytical perspective.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily.
- Comply with established company policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provides leadership and develops direct reports, living the values of Catalyst MedTech. and helping to drive the execution of our strategic plans.
- Builds strong relationships with Catalyst MedTech Executive and Senior leaders, supporting them by identifying opportunities and providing critical information and analysis to strategically enhance financial performance.
- Directs all treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, real estate, capital equipment purchasing, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization.
- Oversee and direct the preparation and issuance of the corporation’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Directs the Controller and/ or Assistant Controller in providing and directing all internal control procedures, processes and Sarbanes-Oxley related requirements of the business.
- Directs the Controller and/or Assistant Controller in activities such as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization.
- Appraises the organization’s financial position and issues periodic reports on organization’s financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
- Coordinates tax reporting programs.
- Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization’s policies and operations.
- Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution, determines their financial impact, and provides feedback on manufacturing operations and recommendations on cost reduction.
- Responsible for the financial strategies.
- Establishes and maintains contacts with equity partners and internal stakeholders.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA or CFA
- 10+ years of broad financial leadership experience including managing multi-functional teams.
- Expert understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
