Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Kyra Photon will lead the overall financial strategy and management of the organization in a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The CFO will oversee financial planning and budgeting, monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and financial statement preparation. This role will manage finance teams, establish and maintain internal controls, and support compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. The CFO will partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, capital allocation, fundraising, and investment decisions, particularly relating to solar and renewable energy projects. Daily responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, optimizing cost structures, and providing data-driven insights to guide business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Planning, with experience developing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
- Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including consolidation, statutory reporting, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex financial data, evaluate investment opportunities, and support decision-making.
- Extensive experience in corporate finance, treasury, and risk management, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional finance teams and collaborating with executive leadership.
- Ability to design and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial audiences.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Experience in renewable energy, project finance, or large-scale capital projects is an advantage.
