For our client, we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a mission-driven environment.
Location: Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $300,000 – $350,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO to execute financial strategy aligned with mission impact
- Identify opportunities to innovate financial systems and processes
- Lead dynamic financial modeling for strategic decisions
- Advocate for a continuous improvement culture utilizing data and technology
- Contribute to overall enterprise strategy as an Executive Team member
- Oversee annual budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with leaders
- Drive process improvements within current financial operations
Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience preferred
- 12+ years of progressive financial leadership
- Proven record of leading financial transformation
- Experience with blended revenue models and diverse funding streams
- Strong understanding of data-driven financial decision-making
