For our client, we are seeking a VP Finance US And Canada (market Cfo) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will support financial discipline around P&L visibility, margin improvement, and business performance. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a consumer-facing environment.
Location: Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $300,000 – $350,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead CFO responsibilities including accounting, reporting, controls, FP&A, and risk management for the market
- Collaborate with US leadership to shape and enhance commercial strategy through financial insights
- Jointly manage P&L performance with Market GM, focusing on strategic execution and risk management
- Direct annual budgeting and forecasting aligned with strategic goals
- Oversee compliance with local GAAP and corporate standards through effective governance and controls
- Drive operational efficiencies and best practices, particularly in procurement
- Deliver insightful performance analysis and narratives to regional and global stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree or professional accounting qualification preferred
- 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or business leadership roles within multinational environments
- 5+ years in senior management or director level with direct P&L responsibility and team leadership
- Strong understanding of financial drivers, contract management, and retail landscape nuances
- Proven track record in driving cost efficiencies and process transformation
- Experience in external representation and executive stakeholder engagement
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to motivate teams
