About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and operations. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee financial management, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and investor relations while providing strategic guidance to support sustainable business growth.
The ideal candidate is an experienced financial executive with a strong background in corporate finance, operational excellence, and business strategy, capable of driving financial performance and supporting long-term organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leadership team.
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
- Evaluate business performance and recommend strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
Financial Operations
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, payroll, treasury, tax, and financial controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.
- Establish and maintain effective financial policies, processes, and internal controls.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve operational performance.
- Support business leaders with financial planning and decision-making.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audits.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and business risks.
- Maintain strong governance and regulatory compliance practices.
Investor & Board Relations
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Board of Directors and investors.
- Support fundraising, financing activities, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and financial partners.
- Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to key stakeholders.
Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with leaders across all departments to drive business performance and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
- Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, or senior financial executive.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading finance organizations in startups, high-growth companies, or publicly traded organizations.
- Experience with fundraising, venture capital, private equity, or investor relations.
- Experience managing mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, financial planning software, and business intelligence tools.
- Industry experience relevant to the company's business sector.
