CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH | GROUP CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER | LONDON
Acuity Associates has been retained to appoint a Group Chief Financial Officer for a high-growth, private equity-backed B2B services business.
The company is entering an important phase of its development and is seeking an experienced CFO to work closely with the CEO, Board and investment partner to help deliver the next stage of growth.
This is a broad, commercially focused CFO mandate with responsibility spanning strategic planning, financial leadership, M&A, funding, performance management and the continued development of the finance function.
The successful candidate will play a central role in:
• Co-owning the business plan with the CEO and providing the financial rigour required to support continued growth
• Acting as the senior finance partner to the Board and private equity investor
• Leading the financial aspects of M&A, including diligence, transaction support and post-acquisition integration
• Supporting funding, refinancing and lender relationships where required
• Strengthening commercial finance, forecasting, reporting and decision support
• Ensuring the finance function, systems and controls are capable of supporting a significantly larger and more complex group
• Leading and developing an established finance team
• Supporting the business through the remainder of its investment cycle and preparing for future strategic options
Candidate profile
We are looking for a commercially minded CFO with:
• Proven experience operating in a private equity-backed environment
• A track record of helping scale a mid-market business through a period of significant growth
• Strong M&A experience, including buy-side diligence and integration
• Experience working closely with CEOs, Boards and institutional investors
• Strong commercial and strategic judgement, combined with the willingness to remain close to the detail
• Experience leading and developing finance teams
• Exposure to multi-entity or international businesses
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
Experience within B2B services, technology-enabled services or other people-led business models would be advantageous, but private equity and investment-cycle experience are more important than exact sector background.
Location: London
Package: Competitive executive-level base salary, bonus, benefits and equity participation
Timing: As soon as practicable, subject to notice period
