About The Gap Partnership
The Gap Partnership is the world's leading negotiation consultancy, helping organisations create sustainable competitive advantage through improved commercial performance, stronger stakeholder alignment and more effective decision-making.
For more than 25 years, we have partnered with many of the world's largest organisations across consumer goods, retail, healthcare, technology, industrials and professional services. We work with executive teams to solve complex commercial challenges, drive organisational change and deliver measurable business impact.
What we're looking for
The Gap Partnership is looking for an experienced Revenue Operations Manager to join the team, to help design and implement a RevOps capability at TGP. Currently the responsibilities listed below are dispersed across roles in the business and there is an opportunity to drive automation and efficiency in our processes and systems and drive better insights into the business. This role will work closely with the Global Head of Operations and Transformation and the Global Process Improvement and Insight Lead to design and implement changes to our processes, systems and reporting. As part of creating a RevOps capability at TGP, we will together refine the future structure, roles and responsibilities of the function.
This role will own the day-to-day design, delivery and continuous improvement of the RevOps capability at The Gap Partnership. This role turns the company’s revenue operations mandate into working infrastructure, disciplined process and proactive commercial intelligence, so that our commercial organisation can spend their time selling and delivering, not on admin, manual reporting, or chasing data.
We are a “seller-doer” company: the people who win work are the same people who deliver it. Every hour of friction removed from the commercial engine is an hour returned to clients. That is the standard this role is measured against.
Process automation, and specifically the responsible use of AI, is now a core part of how this friction gets removed. This role is expected to actively identify where the commercial engine can be automated rather than simply staffed, and to partner directly with the engineering team to design and build the business-critical AI agents that make that possible.
We're looking for:
- 5–10 years' experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations, or a comparable analytical/commercial role, ideally in professional services or another seller-doer environment.
- Hands-on CRM ownership experience (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics), including data architecture and pipeline design. Working proficiency with a PSA (e.g. OpenAir, Kantata, Certinia) is preferable.
- Strong analytical grounding: comfortable building forecasting, win/loss and profitability models, and confident presenting them to senior stakeholders.
- Experience designing or governing commercial process (stage gates, handover protocols, discounting policy) in a cross-functional environment.
- Working knowledge of marketing attribution and marketing technology, or a strong appetite to build this quickly.
- Demonstrable experience identifying process automation opportunities and translating them into requirements an Engineering team can build against; experience with AI agents, LLM-based tools or workflow automation platforms is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable acting as the commercial-side partner to Engineering: able to write clear problem statements, review what has been built, and judge whether an automation or agent is ready to run on live commercial data.
- A proactive, “comes to leadership with the answer before they ask” instinct rather than a purely reactive, ticket-taking style.
- Excellent stakeholder management: able to work confidently with BD leads, Account Leads and senior Commercial Leadership.
- Some prior line management or mentoring experience is an advantage.
Job Responsibilities
Together with the Global Head of Operations and Transformation and the Global Process Improvement and Insight Lead, this role will own the following areas:
Commercial Infrastructure- Own the CRM and commercial technology stack: pipeline architecture, data standards, deal desk operation, pricing tools, SOW templates and rate cards.
- Maintain the link between commercial systems and project delivery / revenue recognition, so deals are not reinvented from scratch each time.
Revenue Intelligence- Lead whitespace analysis, win/loss analysis, churn risk signalling, client profitability and forecasting models.
- Surface commercial intelligence proactively, before Commercial Leadership asks for it. You provide the insight; Commercial Leadership interprets it and makes the call.
Process Design & Governance- Design and maintain the end-to-end commercial process from lead qualification through to revenue recognition, in partnership with Commercial Leadership.
- Own stage definitions, qualification criteria, handover protocols between BD, Client Management and Delivery, and discounting policy.
Planning & Target Setting- Coordinate the annual and quarterly commercial planning cycle: account coverage models, pipeline targets and goal-setting.
- Design and run the planning cycle so outputs are consistent and reliable; Commercial Leadership and Finance set the targets and direction.
Enablement & Knowledge Management- Oversee onboarding, system training, proposal libraries, competitive intelligence and playbooks.
- Govern knowledge management so our best proposals, methodologies and client materials are findable and reusable, not lost in personal drives.
Incentive Design Support- Provide the analytical input into commission and bonus structures: modelling how incentive design drives behaviour, calculating variable pay, and flagging unintended consequences. Compensation design itself sits with the People Team and Finance.
Process Automation & AI- Take the lead role in identifying where commercial processes across Marketing, BD, Account Management and the CRM/data layer can be automated, and where AI can remove work rather than simply report on it.
- Partner directly with the Engineering team to scope, design and build business-critical AI agents, for example automated lead scoring and qualification, deal desk and pricing checks, proposal drafting support, and proactive account intelligence alerts.
- Own the roadmap and prioritisation of automation opportunities, working with Commercial Leadership and Engineering to sequence what gets built and why.
- Define the guardrails for agents operating on commercial data: what they are allowed to decide autonomously, what requires human sign-off, and how performance and errors are monitored once in production.
- Treat the commercial technology stack, including AI agents and automations, as a live programme of continuous improvement rather than a one-off build.
- Extend the same discipline upstream into Marketing technology, ensuring marketing data flows into the same CRM used by Sales and Delivery, enabling true campaign-to-revenue attribution.
Project Administration- Oversee the administration of projects in the PSA (OA) including setting up project phases, updating billing milestones, allocating expenses to the project, validation of project completion and invoice readiness, invoice raising and project close reconciliation.
- Work with Finance on revenue recognition.
People & Stakeholder Management- Line-manage the Revenue Operations Analyst, setting priorities and reviewing analytical output.
- Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for BD leads and Account Leads on commercial infrastructure, data and process questions.
