Oakbridge Search Partners is excited to partner with a leading specialty construction contractor with 35+ years of experience delivering complex commercial, institutional and healthcare projects across Western Canada.
Backed by PE, our client is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join its senior leadership team.
Reporting directly to the President, the CFO will be both a financial leader and strategic business partner, helping drive profitable growth, geographic expansion and the development of the financial infrastructure required to scale the organization.
Key areas of focus:
• Lead finance, accounting and controllership
• Own forecasting for revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and working capital
• Oversee construction accounting, WIP, job costing and project profitability
• Partner with operations and project teams to improve forecasting and margin visibility
• Provide strategic analysis and financial modelling to support growth decisions
• Strengthen financial processes, systems and controls
• Lead and develop the finance team
The ideal candidate will bring:
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
• Strong experience in construction, specialty contracting or another project-based environment
• Deep expertise in construction accounting and project financials
• Strong forecasting, cash flow and controllership capabilities
• Commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to translate financial data into business decisions
• Experience in a growth-oriented or private equity-backed environment is preferred
• CPA designation is an asset
