This leader will manage financial strategy, multi-entity accounting, private investment reporting, and tax planning across family-controlled trusts, operating companies, and direct private equity assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Private Equity & Investment Accounting: Track, model, and report on direct private equity investments, co-investments, private credit, and fund-of-funds allocation.
- Financial Governance & Reporting: Deliver consolidated financial statements, P&L reporting, and cash flow projections across complex multi-entity structures.
- Tax & Estate Strategy: Oversee intricate tax planning, compliance, and wealth transfer coordination alongside external estate attorneys and tax advisors.
- Operations & Treasury: Direct day-to-day cash management, risk mitigation, internal controls, and operational workflows for the family and associated entities.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a trusted financial advisor to family principals, investment committees, and external board members.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 10 to 15+ years of progressive financial leadership, ideally combining private equity, investment management, or public accounting with direct family office tenure.
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is heavily preferred.
- Core Skills: Mastery of multi-asset valuation, liquidity management, entity structuring, and discretion.
- Personal Traits: High emotional intelligence, absolute confidentiality, and a low-ego, hands-on ("roll up your sleeves") working style.
