Role Description The Fractional CFO is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London, responsible for leading the financial strategy and performance of Express Turbo Delivery. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support growth across courier and cargo operations. Daily responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, monitoring key performance indicators, preparing financial reports for leadership, and advising on investment, pricing, and cost-optimization decisions. The Fractional CFO partners with operations and commercial teams to evaluate new business opportunities, enhance profitability, and ensure financial controls and compliance are in place. The role also involves improving financial systems and processes, mentoring finance team members, and supporting strategic planning and stakeholder reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and financial planning skills, with the ability to design budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
- Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial statements and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including data-driven decision-making and performance analysis in a fast-paced business environment.
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or related sectors is highly beneficial, with understanding of cash settlement cycles and operational cost structures.
- Proven track record in implementing financial controls, managing risk, and ensuring regulatory and tax compliance.
- Advanced Excel and finance system skills; familiarity with modern ERP or accounting platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with capacity to work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent experience in senior finance leadership roles.
