About the Role
Our client is a high-growth technology company operating in the digital infrastructure and AI space across Singapore and Southeast Asia. As the business scales rapidly and prepares for its next stage of capital market activity, they are seeking a seasoned Finance Director or CFO to serve as a critical strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership. This is a rare opportunity to own the full finance function — from fundraising and investor relations through to financial operations and governance — and to play a defining role in shaping the company's trajectory toward a potential public listing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company's end-to-end capital raising strategy, including equity and debt financing, strategic investments, and other funding solutions, while managing relationships with banks, private equity and venture capital funds, family offices, and institutional investors
- Drive roadshows, investor engagements, financing negotiations, and transaction execution, and develop a compelling investment narrative and financial story for external stakeholders
- Lead or support M&A activity, joint ventures, acquisitions, and divestments — including deal structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing
- Own financial modelling, valuation analysis, and investor materials, and support pre-IPO readiness and potential listing-related workstreams
- Partner closely with the CEO and senior management on capital allocation, strategic planning, business expansion, and major investment decisions
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term financial planning, and business analysis to guide growth decisions and evaluate new markets, contracts, and opportunities
- Oversee all core finance operations including accounting, management reporting, cash management, audit, statutory compliance, tax, transfer pricing, and cross-border finance matters
- Build and lead a scalable regional finance team, strengthen internal controls, approval frameworks, and financial governance policies to meet the demands of a rapidly growing organisation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; professional qualifications such as MBA, CFA, CPA, CA, or ACCA are advantageous (is a bonus)
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, strategic finance, M&A, or senior in-house finance leadership roles
- Demonstrated track record in equity and debt capital markets, M&A execution, financial modelling, and valuation, with hands-on experience managing full transaction cycles
- Prior experience supporting IPO readiness, pre-IPO financing, or major capital market transactions is strongly preferred (is a bonus)
- Experience in technology, AI, digital infrastructure, cloud services, or other high-growth sectors, particularly across Singapore and Southeast Asia, is advantageous (is a bonus)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage for engaging with Mandarin-speaking investors and business partners in the region (is a bonus)
If you are passionate about technology and meet the above requirements, please don't hesitate to apply. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Appreciate your understanding. Data provided is for recruitment purposes only.
