Role Description The Deputy Chief Financial Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for supporting the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the organization’s financial strategy and performance. This role includes managing financial planning and budgeting processes, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports. The Deputy CFO will coordinate monthly and quarterly closing activities, review financial performance against targets, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership for decision-making. Daily responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, supervising finance team members, improving internal controls and financial systems, and collaborating with other departments to support operational and strategic initiatives. The role requires active participation in forecasting, risk assessment, and cost optimization efforts across the business.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, including experience in corporate finance, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and forecasting, with the ability to develop and manage annual budgets and long-term financial models.
- Hands-on experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance is highly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or FMCG, ideally within cosmetics or related sectors, is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with business intelligence tools is a plus.
