Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Clearwater, FL, responsible for leading all financial operations and strategy for LiFT. The CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support the organization’s mission and growth. Daily responsibilities include managing financial reporting and analysis, reviewing and interpreting financial statements, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies. The CFO will collaborate with leadership and the board on strategic initiatives, manage relationships with external financial partners, and implement efficient financial controls and processes. This role also involves guiding the finance team, preparing presentations for stakeholders, and providing clear, data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with experience in organizational financial leadership and strategy.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting to support short- and long-term organizational goals.
- Ability to prepare, interpret, and oversee Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate financial performance, assess risk, and support data-driven decisions.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance) or CPA/CFA designation is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a senior finance leader, ideally within nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, internal controls, and best practices in financial governance.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
